Apollo Grow Light Review

This system rocks! It will last grow after grow

This system rocks! It will last grow after grow

Pros: This is absolutely the best complete grow light kit that you can by whether you are growing soil or hydroponically for the price. Hands down. You can’t beat it. It’s ready to put plants under as soon as it arrives at your door.

Cons: The bulbs are kinda cheap. They will work for your first grow but having an extra one on hand is a good idea. The timer works, nothing fancy and there are better ones out.

Out of 5 possible stars, 254 reviews, this lighting system has earned each of those 199 perfect 5 star reviews! With a 4.6 out of 5 I believe all the reviews speak for themselves. Everyone raves about how this is the perfect system. It’s well built, it’s quit, (HUGE plus), superior construction, and it also offers awesome features. It’s dimmable, that means if you buy a 1000 watt grow light, you can dial it down so it only puts out half that, or 750 watts depending on the number of plants. The digital ballast saves energy but allows you to interchange between both the metal halide and the hps bulbs. The hangers are extremely sturdy, no need to every worry about them.

My Final Thoughts

600 watt Apollo in my Aviditi grow tent

I have both an Ipower and an Apollo. I bought my Ipower first, it’s a 1000 watt and I’ve had it for 3 years now. Well 6 months into growing I wanted to try a dwc hydroponics set up as cheap as I could so I bought my 600 watt Apollo off of Amazon. Honestly, I think the units are pretty close to being the same, it’s just that Apollo sells their kits a bit cheaper. I was absolutely stunned (I got the vented hood model) with the quality. The Hood is strong and well constructed. The ballast is nearly silent. It comes with a long cord which actually was very convenient. Would I buy it again? Absolutely! Why do I promote both the Ipower and apollo? Cause they are both great and if someone wants to spend more money that’s fine, they are still getting an amazing product, but nothing more than Apollo can already deliver (unless of course you don’t like purple). 600 watts is perfect to start out with, but since this ballast is dimmable, a 1000 watt is fine too if you are worried about your first grow.
